At Spring Branch Bird and Animal Sanctuary (SBABS) we take in parrots that are in need of a helping hand.  Some owners relocate for work and are unable to take their companions, Parrots are often surrendered to us by family members of an owner who has passed away and need  help finding a new home for their loved ones' bird.  SBABS has also taken in birds born with deformities, or other medical conditions, these birds would have otherwise been euthanized if not for our sanctuary.
All birds that come to SBABS receive mental stimulation, a proper diet, and love and attention.  Birds that come in with medical needs are cared for by the wonderful Dr. Fronefield  and his staff at ABC Animal and Bird Clinic.  Dr. Fronefield and his veterinary staff are ABVP- Avian Vet Certified, and have been in practice for over two decades.

Our goal is to find loving forever homes for as many birds as we can, however some of our birds cannot be adopted out due to extreme mental or medical conditions.  These birds will be cared for by SBABS for the duration of their lives.
In addition to Parrots and birds, SBABS also takes in abandoned kittens and puppies, covers the cost of spaying/neutering and finds them their loving forever homes.

SBABS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and all funds received go directly towards the care of our animals.  Some of our rescues can spend weeks at a time at our vets office while receiving the medical  care they so desperately need, and as you know veterinary care is Very expensive.
